Long-time fan of wikis and of Semantic MediaWiki. I've been a contributor to Wikimedia projects since 2006 (see my volunteer userpage).

Yes, my first name really is just 'S' (cf. car designer J Mays, soap star A Martinez, and President Harry S Truman).

My work

I'm the WMF's technical writer in the Reading department, working closely with the Developer Relations team. My thoughts on tech writing.

I began work at the WMF in 2012 with Editor engagement experiments on English Wikipedia to attract and retain happy editors, then worked with the Collaboration team on the Flow discussion and collaboration software.
