I am a native Swahili Speaker and fluent in English. I joined Wikimedia movement as a UCoC Facilitator in February 2020. Before joining the Wikimedia Foundation in this position I worked as a Wikimedia projects volunteer/contributor since 2016. Later on I co founded Wikimedia Community User Group Tanzania and my main roles includes but not limited to recruiting new volunteers, sharing some knowledge with them on how to contribute to Wikimedia projects, collaborating with my fellow community members on putting more effort on expanding Swahili Wikipedia and generally acting as a bridge between Wikimedia Foundation and my community. I am a tech enthusiast and on my spare time I like singing and listening to music.
I work as a Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) Facilitator with the Wikimedia Foundation. Through this position I specifically contribute to the Trust & Safety team's objectives of connecting the community and the Foundation towards researching, learning and implementing friendly policies that will ensure availability of a safe space for Wikimedia projects/movement contributors to freely contribute to it without any fear.
